I was part of of the Ultra Drums Project 2009 at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. This project was the brainchild of Daniel Marosi who gave me the opportunity to participate in this awesome experiment. The concept of found objects being repurposed to serve as drums to accompany the rythms overheard at the festival was explained on this blog
The day was a success and below you may see the drums, as well as pictures of them at the festival. It was free form and raw, we used silver sharpies for the drawings and provided drum sticks. In the end the drums were used for other things other than drumming but it was great to see people figuring out what to do with them.
